You stay marveled at the perfect lines of pieces made by the woodcarver Thierry Martenon before interesting yourself to the new tables set in the center of the Grand Palais on which are arranged a multitude of pieces. This "banquet" is surprising: beaded, leather, ceramic, wood, glass, some of all kinds and some of all tastes from around the world: From Chile via Denmark , Senegal, and Japan.
The banquet will be a mixture of the best creations. A little further, you recognize the dough of Erwan Boulloud. Its unique patinated steel pieces require up to more than 800 hours. The result is sublime.
You continue your visit, observing craftsmen working leather or jewellery. You pause besides the stand of bright poetic pieces of Bastien Square then besides those imposing and the delicate pieces of the Charles House.
Each artist, whatever its media creation and origin, offers you carefully some thought out works upto their most intimate details. You meet enthusiasts, lovers of good work, that perpetuate traditional skills , unsung but essential in our daily lives.
