Explosive! It is the first word that comes to your mind once you hear the Triggerfinger invest the scene at the party of Humanity. The talented trio is unleashed and demonstrates energy to the audience. This is a great discovery for you and a final heart stroke. You meet the three friends in front of their houses, after their arrival.
-WHAT ARE YOUR SENTIMENTS TOWARDS THE PARTY OF HUMANITY?
It is an amazing initiative! It is always very interesting to have a festival with many groups that produce themselves. We have just arrived and have not yet had the time to do the tour because we are starting the interviews. It is really good to join good causes, “humanitary” causes an artistic event. The party of Humanity puts forwards universal causes, essential to our society. There are people that have different opinions, with multiple points of views that join together and share the same values: it is an amazing thing. It is important to debate, it is a good intiative to debate these musics, and this allows people who simply come to listen to us to take conscience of what is going on and to reflect over it.
-WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT INSPIRE YOU TO CREATE YOUR UNIVERSAL MUSIC?
There is a large amount of things that we listen to, that we read, that we see, that we live: things of all sorts. Everything that we hear from everywhere, people of our near and distant surroundings are part of what we are and give us ideas. Ideas that bloom in a corner of our heads, to rethink it, later think about it and start to work on it. Everything starts from then on: our discoveries, our lived moments. It is one of the most important things in artistic creation.
-WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE NEW WAVE ARTISTS THAT ARE APPEARING?
-We would like to learn about others. Whatever be the music that you play, it is like history, there is always a new wave of new music that adds something to another wave. There is a today, a large amount of things. The good things come together and persist. There is no discussion possible. What is good remains. The year before, we did the first part of the Rolling Stones and it was crazy to see that there were 10 years old like the elderly. The ambiance was really good and the public bubbled. A dream that became reality! Everybody was there for the music, happy, for a good cause. Each person feels music in their own way.
-IN WHAT IS YOUR MUSIC ART?
We do not make art. We love what we do and we want to do well. People feel what is good to them and it is upto them to decide whether it is art or not.
It is a very complicated question to which an artist must respond: “why is this art”.
And that is not what is important; the only thing that is important is that you continue to search what makes it art, to search and make art, to absorb it, to think about it. It’s what makes all this important, I think.
For example, I saw on the television the history of a money that had painted a canvas. There were five art critiques around the canvas, all ignorant to the fact that a monkey had painted it. They had loved the canvas but were furious that they loved something a monkey had created. There is a connection between the piece and the spectator, what you feel when you observe it. Music is the exact same thing. You either love it, you either hate it. You can discover and feel nothing in front of a piece and then later react differently. This also depends on the location and surroundings, of your humour and your history, everything has a sense.
